National Trails Day

Celebrating National Trails Day, the Lewis County Public Library and Archives and the Natchez Trace Park partnered to explore the Old Trace. Attendees learned about the community that grew up along the Trace and the Meriwether Lewis Monument, and about how significant the Natchez Trace was, not only to Tennessee, but the country. Everyone on the hike received a buff and a “Leave It Better” sticker provided by the American Hiking Society. Thank you Ranger Jeremy, Natchez Trace Parkway, and all of our participants.

The library’s next family event is Rhythm Round-Up on Friday, June 9 at 10:00 A.M. in the library.
