Rock The Lot July 1

For the FIFTH year, the Friends of the Library and the City of Hohenwald are bringing Independence Day fun to The Lot with the annual, “Rock the Lot: Free Concert and Fireworks.”

This year, gather your friends and family, and head to the city parking lot at 5:30 p.m., across the street from the Lewis County Herald (ADMISSION IS FREE). There, you can enjoy several food trucks from ice cream to lemonade, pizza, barbecue and even vegetarian options! Let the kids run wild as they beat the summer heat playing on the water slides (FOR FREE). Transform yourself when you get your face painted by one of THREE painters on-site (FOR FREE). Then, hop on the Lewis & Clarke Express for a train-ride-tour through town (FOR FREE).

At 7 p.m., once you’ve eaten and mingled with friends and neighbors, park your tushie in a seat (BRING YOUR OWN CHAIR), and listen to the sounds of Fleetwood Mac via the tribute band, “World Turning” (FOR FREE). At the sound of their last note, turn from the stage, and look to the sky as it lights up red, white and blue with a fireworks display (FOR FREE).

Oh, and did we mention, FOR FREE? See Ya There!
