James “Jimmy” Warren Sims was born January 14, 1950 in Lewis County to the late John Turner and Ruby Pauline Melson Sims. He was united in marriage to the former Anita Louise Whitehead on March 19, 1971.

Mr. Jimmy was a member of Williams Chapel Freewill Baptist Church, an active member of the Collinwood Senior Citizens Center where he was a volunteer food delivery driver, and an active volunteer at the Wayne County Welcome Center in Collinwood.
