High Forest Humane Society hosts Adoption Day, July 15 at PetSmart in Spring Hill

Lewis County’s High Forest Humane Society will be at the Spring Hill PetSmart this Saturday, July 16 from 11:00 – 3:00 with dogs ready for adoption.

This week is PetSmart Charities National Adoption Week, and the Humane Society is hopeful to be able to find lots of new homes for dogs in need on Saturday. All adoptable dogs have been spayed/neutered, microchipped, and up-to-date on veterinary care.

In the first six months of 2023, High Forest has already found new homes for 153 dogs, all of whom were surrenders, rescues, and/or transfers from county or city officials.

If you are interested in adopting a dog, please stop by PetSmart on Saturday! If you are interested in volunteering to foster dogs waiting adoption or helping out at the High Forest Humane Society shelter, please email [email protected] or call (931) 796-5204. Please help reduce the number of unwanted dogs by spaying/neutering your pets unless they are part of a responsible breeding program.
