Rockin' Coffee a Hit at Chamber Event

The Chamber of Commerce held their monthly Chamber Coffee event Tuesday morning, July 11. "These monthly events are a great opportunity for local businesses to network with each other and for the community to become informed of and acquainted with the people behind the economic establishments," said Chamber Director Debbie Landers. That was proven true as the meeting began and everyone went around the room introducing themselves. In attendance, were several established business men and women, as well as new faces, including the new CEO of the Elephant Sanctuary, as well as a representative from the newest business in town, Family Advantage Credit Union.

This month's host, Shoe Sensation, highlighted another new business in town, Rockin' Coffee Company. Randall Zimmerman, owner, was on-site playing barista. Zimmerman takes pride in roasting all beans in Lewis County, "We buy our beans from small farms in the tropical belt. This allows them to be fresher and less subjected to pesticides."

Shoe Sensation Market Sales Director Amanda Crowell confirms, "You can really tell a difference. With my position in this great company, I'm travelling constantly, always in different airports getting coffees. Randall started making me lattes with his Rockin' Coffee beans, and nothing compares anymore. I love it and wanted to share that with folks here. So, I asked him to cater his coffee for us this morning, and it's been a hit." Mr. Zimmerman agreed a great time was had by all and shared that some expansion may be in the near future for Rockin' Coffee.

July's host, Shoe Sensation, opened it's first store in 1984 and has grown to 237 stores in 21 states, since. "This Hohenwald location," Crowell said, "was opened in 2017. It's in communities like this one that this company likes to take root. SS is brought into small towns to not only bring name brand items, but also to give back through those purchases. Currently, SS partners with Hope Hohenwald to help put new shoes in the stockings of kids within the community. Also," she adds, "during Breast Cancer Awareness Month in October, we are donating proceeds to our local charity, Lewis County Cancer Victims Fund." Store Manager Nancy Mitchell, and Assistant Store Manager Ariana Potts enjoyed being able to host the monthly event in the store.

Each attendee received a 20% off coupon, and Steven Hoyle won the $25 gift card. "My wife ordered me to win the gift card, and, well, we did!"

Dear Mrs. Hoyle, please order me to win the lottery.
