Terrible Fall at Fall Hollow Falls Resulted in Lifeflight

 

A 911 call went out at 1:40 p.m. on July 3, 2023, to a fall at Fall Hollow Falls on the Natchez Trace Parkway. Responding to the call were Lewis County Fire and Rescue, Lewis County Sheriff's Deputies, Maury Regional EMS, along with the Natchez Trace Park Rangers.

Chief Steve Vineyard of Lewis County Fire and Rescue stated the victim was taking pictures and lost her balance and fell down the embankment. She was rescued from the creek area where she had fallen and transported by ambulance to the helicopter where she was air lifted to Vanderbilt Hospital. Vineyard stated that her condition and injuries are unknown.
