Lewis County Herald - Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898

The Lewis County 9/10 year old All Stars traveled to Loudon, Tennessee last weekend to compete in the State Tournament. To get there, they began by playing the Maury County Muletown Classic Championship. They finished 3-0, defeating Franklin Battle All Stars and Lawrence County All Stars. They then became the Dixie Youth District 3 Tournament Champions by defeating Summertown 12-2, Perry County 21-2, Decatur County 15-3, Collinwood 11-1, and Decatur 12-2 to finish the tournament 5-0.

Because of their hard work and dedication, the team traveled to Loudon, Tennessee where they finished 3rd at 3-2, competing against Houston County 10-0, Sweetwater 4-8, Fayette County 11-4, Decatur County 12-1, and Loudon 1-12. The support of our community throughout this entire season has been tremendous. That support will encourage and follow them through life, making them believe they can do anything!
