Treston Humphreys, 34

Series: Person of the Week | Story 36

Q.) Can you tell me a little bit about yourself?

A.) My name is Treston Humphreys, I'm 34 years old. I'm married to the love of my life, Morgan. We have three great boys that always keep us on our toes: Barrett, Conner, and Trenton.

Q.) Where did you grow up?

A.) Hohenwald

Q.) What is one of your fondest childhood memories?

A.) Not one memory in particular but an entire childhood of hunting on Catheys Creek. Too many memories to mention just one, but not one I'd trade for the world.

Q.) What did you want to be as a kid? What did you actually become?

A.) An adult, a pharmacist

Q.) Who was/is your biggest role model?

A.) Split decision: Trent and Van Humphreys. Many people are fortunate to meet their heroes, once in their lives, but I've been blessed to grow up with mine. My mother is the most compassionate and understanding individual, I have ever known. She is gentle, selfless and kindhearted to anyone she meets, regardless of circumstance. She has never turned away anyone that needed help and goes above and beyond to help those that never asked for it. My dad is the kind of man, all men want to become, but are lucky to become a fraction of. He has the drive, determination, and know-how that pushes me to become a better man, each and every day. He is my first call when I need advice and last person I would ever want to disappoint. The love they show for their three children is only overshadowed by the love they have for their seven grandkids.

Q.) What are some of your favorite hobbies/ how do you like to spend your free time?

A.) As you can imagine, with three kids, we don't have much free time. However, over the last 7 years, every free moment, has been taken up with beekeeping. I currently oversee 20 hives and that number continues to grow each season. Thanks David McPherson!

Q.) If you could go anywhere, in or out of the states, where would it be? Why?

A.) Alaska. Would love to check the Northern Lights off the bucket list

Q.) What is your favorite type of music?

A.) At my house we really enjoy Ms. Rachel's "Song for Littles" on repeat

Q.) What is one of your favorite things about living in Hohenwald?

A.) Comradery. It never ceases to amaze me how this small town comes together to help its own. We could not imagine a better community to raise our three boys.

Q.) What is your favorite time of year? Why?

A.) Fall, we get a break from the bees and get back to hunting

Q.) Let's say you are a new addition to the crayon box, what color would you be? Why?

A.)Honey Bear Brown

Q.) What do you enjoy most about your job?

A.) Patient care and patient interaction. I've always found my job/life the most fulfilled when I'm helping people.

Q.) Do you have a nick name?

A.) No, but at the pharmacy I do answer to Preston, Dustin, Justin, Travis, Trent and Tristan (thanks Mom)

Q.) Is there any life advice you could give to our readers?

A.) Bee kind to each other. You'll always have another day to make another dollar, but you might not be here to help the folks that need help now.
