Mrs. Eleanor H. O'Guin was born in Sumter, South Carolina. to the late Hugh and Peggy Flippo Murdock on August 4, 1957. Eleanor passed away on April 19, 2023, surrounded by her loving family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her daughter Nancy Skelton and a brother Marvin Murdock.

In her quiet time, she enjoyed sitting down and crocheting while watching episodes of 'Andy Griffith' and 'Murder she wrote.' She always cherished every minute spent with family and friends. Mrs. Eleanor was the glue that held the family together. From being a hub of information to the family therapist for problem solving, she was always there for each and every one of them. Many would even say she was the boss lady with the biggest heart for all that knew her.

Mrs. Eleanor leaves behind to cherish her memory her husband Mr. Howard Thomas Skelton Sr., sons Gary (Lisa) Skelton, and Howard (Michelle) Skelton; grandchildren Marquintuz, Zairian, and Neveah Walker, Adam Skelton, Kayla Hamm, Garrett Higgin, Addie Skelton, Elijah Skelton, and Destiny Skelton. She also leaves behind to cherish her memory great grandchildren Daxton Higgin, Rhylan and Laynlei Hamm, and siblings Randy (Diana) Murdock, Jeff Murdock, James (Ashley) Flippo, and Mary (Jamie) Defoe, and sister-in-law Ruth Murdock.

The family will announce a celebration of life service later. Adair Funeral & Cremation Services is assisting the family with arrangements.

Funeral services are planned for Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at the Napier Cemetery. A celebration of life will be held following the services at NACO pavilion one.
