Robert Anthony Reeves, age 71, of Jackson, passed away on August 9, 2023 at AHC Decatur. He was born on March 13, 1952 in Hohenwald, to the late Rev. Dennis Reeves and Lois (Hendrix) Reeves.

Mr. Reeves was baptized at the young age of nine at the Corinth Baptist Church where his father was the pastor. Around this time in his life, he developed a love for music and would become a life-long, avid guitar player. Mr. Reeves entered into the US Army in 1971 at the age of 19. He was immediately stationed in Korea and served as a food service specialist. After serving in the Army, he transferred into the Army National Guard where he served for over 22 years before retiring. He was married to Glenda Joyce Hinson Reeves from February 3, 1992 until her passing on September 29, 2018.

He is survived by his sons Sonny Aaron Reeves and Chris Reeves; his brother Aaron Dale Reeves; his sisters Elizabeth Ann Reeves Mays, Sylvia Kay Fowler and Mary Louise Smith; along with several nieces, nephews and many extended family members and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, August 12, 2023 in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Rev. Don Franks officiating. Burial followed in Loveless Cemetery.
