Grand Champion Winner of the H&R Hardware XL Big Green Egg: Double T's BBQ - Father/Son Team of David and Caleb Thomas
Nineteen teams competed in the Second Annual Smokin' Up The City Cookout at the 2023 Citizens Bank Ag Day as part of the South Central Area Fair's Centennial Celebration held at Memorial Park. All arriving before 6 a.m., contestants, using only electric, charcoal, wood, or pellet cookers, competed as teams or individuals in the categories of Boston Butt, Chicken, Pork Ribs, Steak, and Side/Appetizer. Not only were they judged on taste, but also appearance, tenderness/- texture, taste, moisture, and overall flavor.
