The Lewis County Panthers welcomed the East Hickman Eagles to Bobby W. Sharp field on Friday night, September 1, for Homecoming.

The Panthers would take an early lead just over the halfway point in the opening quarter when Drew Ray capped off a drive with a 3-yard touchdown dive and Lewis County took a 6-0 lead. The Eagles would score and take a lead late in the first quarter with a three-yard touchdown run and a point after to go up 7-6. That slim lead would be the only time the Eagles would lead in the game.

The Panther offense would hit its stride in the second quarter. Brycen McDonald found Chaz Sparkman on a 22-yard strike for a touchdown early in the quarter to give the Panthers a 12-7 lead and would hook up again with Sparkman on a 64-yard touchdown that would extend the lead to 18-7. In the final seconds of the first half McDonald would hit a streaking Fletch Kelsey on a 69-yard touchdown pass and connect with Sparkman for the two-point conversion that gave the Panthers a 26-7 lead at halftime.

Sparkman would haul in his third touchdown of the game with two-and-a-half minutes left in the third and McDonald would hit Dakota Hull for the two-point conversion to make it a 34-7 score. Eli Carroll scooped up a fumble in the closing seconds of the third and rumbled 22 yards to the endzone, and Hull hauled in another conversion pass from McDonald as the Panthers carried a 42-7 lead into the fourth quarter.

Reggie Wade would cap the scoring in the fourth quarter on a 4-yard run and Micah Godfrey added the point after to make it a 49-7 game, and that score would hold as the final as the Panthers dismantled the Eagles on Homecoming Night.
