Memorial Highway Sign Dedications Take Place

Two memorial highway sign dedication ceremonies took place last week, honoring the late Garland Young "GY" Bennett and the late Roger "Tank" Sealy.
Mr. Bennett spent many decades of his life serving our community in various capacities, including two years as a Hohenwald Police Officer, and eight years as Lewis County Sheriff. He also worked for 18 years with the Lewis County Division of Forestry, and was an active member of the Pineview Church of Christ.
Mr. Sealy was a community leader as well, and was active in several charitable causes and civic organizations throughout his lifetime. He was also a Lewis County Commissioner for four years, and worked as a county employee in the Property Assessor's office.
