John Samuel Matteson, affectionately known as Sam, passed peacefully on September 13, 2023, in Columbia, at the age of 61. Born in Chillicothe, Ohio, on July 26, 1962, Sam was the son of Leland Junior Matteson and Jean Loudermilk Matteson.

Sam is survived by his loving wife, Amanda (Edwards) Matteson; their cherished son, Raylan Vale Matteson of Hohenwald; a daughter of the heart, Rachelle of Marion, Ohio; siblings, Lynn Craig of Wellston, Ohio, Kathy (Terry) Weller of Bourbon, Missouri, Robert Matteson of Hamden, Ohio, Jack Matteson of Florida, Steve (Sue) Matteson of Wellston, Ohio and Tommy...
