MLEC Announces School Grant Winners

From left are Lewis County Director of Schools Dr. Tracy McAbee, grant winners Vanessa Stephenson (Lewis County High School), Sherrie Anderson (Lewis County Intermediate School), Kara Farr (Lewis County Elementary School) and MLEC District Manager Jason Graves. The grant program is created with matching funds from CoBank, the Tennessee Valley Authority and MLEC. Within MLEC's five-county service area, $15,000 in grants were awarded to area teachers.
Lewis County Schools received $3000 in grants as part of Meriwether Lewis Electric Cooperative's Adopt-A-School Program.
