October 15, 1923 - October 19, 2023

Eva Pearl Stephens passed away peacefully on October 19, 2023, in Franklin, after celebrating her 100th birthday just days before. She was born on October 15, 1923, in Hickman County, to the late Joseph Alec King and Nellie Lucinda (Qualls) King.

Pearl had a passion for hummingbirds and her perfectly maintained flower garden. She spent many hours outside, simply enjoying the beauty and peace of nature around her. This love for the outdoors was infectious, and she passed it on to her family, whom she adored. Pearl’s grandbabies and great-grandbabies were the apple of her eye.

Pearl was a fantastic cook, she made dishes that were delicious and filled with love. She found joy in preparing meals that she thought her family and friends would like. Her son, would always look for the perfect biscuit in every batch. A standard was set by Pearl’s culinary skills.

Pearl’s positivity and smile were a constant source of warmth. She had a unique ability to find happiness in every situation.

In addition to her parents, Joseph and Nellie King, she was preceded in death by her husband, Aaron Burl Stephens; and brothers, Hilton King and Ezra King.
