Matthew Adkins was appointed to the Lewis County Board of Education during a special-called Board of Commissioners meeting Monday night, October 30. Adkins was appointed to fill the 5th District School Board seat, vacated by Phylis Townsend.

Of the appointment, Adkins states, "I am excited and proud to represent the Lewis County 5th District. I appreciate the support of the commissioners, family and friends, and look forward to serving my community in this way."
