Paula Dyer has been a busy Board member for Lewis County Schools. During its Annual Convention, The Tennessee School Boards Association (TSBA) recognized seven school board members who earned master board member status. Mrs. Dyer is the second school board member from Lewis County to reach this milestone.

That is not the only award she took home. TSBA has a category known as the All Tennessee School Board. Only five school board members from across the state are chosen for this prestigious award. She is the first board member from Lewis County to be selected to the All Tennessee School Board.

What is particularly impressive is that she achieved both these awards in only 3 years!

When asked about board member Paula Dyer, Director of Schools Tracy McAbee said "Mrs. Dyer is a phenomenal board member. She wants students to have a good experience at school each day while improving student performance. She also makes sure the faculty and staff enjoy their career by improving pay and benefits for everyone. Lastly, she does a great job in her leadership role as Vice-Chair of the board. She has a great working relationship with the entire Board."
