William David Hartsfield, affectionately known as "Crockett" by many, age 51, and a resident of Summertown, passed away on Monday evening, December 4, 2023, at Hospice Family Care in Huntsville, Alabama.

A visitation was held on Wednesday, December 6, 2023, at Heritage Funeral Home in Columbia. Heritage Funeral Home is assisting the family with arrangements.

David was born on July 24, 1972, in Columbia, and was the son of Patricia Marshall Favors and the late David Patrick Hartsfield. He was a 1991 graduate of Loretto High School. A true outdoorsman, David enjoyed fishing, hunting, and riding four wheelers and motorcycles. Above all, he loved his family, especially his children.

In addition to his mother, he is survived by his step father, David McDonald, sons, David Blaine Hartsfield (Nicole Morin) of Summertown, Colby Gauge Hartsfield of Lawrenceburg, brother, Timothy Mark Hartsfield, and grandchildren, Kenzie Nevaeh Hartsfield and Allison Paige Hartsfield.

Along with his father, he was preceded in death by his children, Kara Allison Hartsfield and Brian James Hartsfield.
