David Keith DeVault, 54, a man of profound love, faith, and extraordinary handiness, passed away on December 14, 2023, in Columbia. Born on January 25, 1969, in Nashville, to the late William Thomas DeVault Jr. and Iva Lou Brumley DeVault, David's life was a testament to the strength of family bonds and the joy of lifelong learning.

David shared a beautiful and fulfilling life with his beloved wife, Royeann Ingram DeVault. Together, they cultivated a home filled with laughter, love, and the sweet aroma of holiday dinners. David's culinary talents were a highlight at these family gatherings, where he loved to showcase his cooking and baking skills to the delight of his loved ones.

A devoted father, David's legacy lives on through his cherished children, Cassie Ann DeVault Thebeau, Kayla Michelle DeVault, and Isaiah Nathaniel DeVault. He instilled in them the values of kindness, perseverance, and the importance of family. His joy was multiplied with the birth of his granddaughter, Annalee Rayne Thebeau, who brought immense happiness and pride to his life.

David is also survived by his dear siblings, Ricky Wayne DeVault, Glenda Darlene Rone, and Johnny Shane Hilburn, who will forever remember him as a guiding light and a source of unwavering support. His life was enriched by the companionship of his very special best friend, Danny Ogg, with whom he shared countless cherished moments.

An ever-curious soul, David found pleasure in tinkering around and fixing anything that came his way. His hands were rarely still, as he could often be found immersed in his latest project, finding solutions where others saw only problems.

A fan of the simple pleasures in life, David enjoyed western movies and shows, often losing himself in the tales of cowboys and the old frontier.

David and Royeann were dedicated members of the Full Gospel Church of Hohenwald, where they nurtured their faith and contributed to the spiritual life of their community. David's faith was a cornerstone of his existence, guiding him through life's trials and tribulations with grace and resilience.

Those who knew David would describe him as loving and faith-filled, with an ability to fix just about anything. His presence was a comfort, his laughter contagious, and his generosity boundless.

His memory will continue to inspire those who knew him to cherish their loved ones, to lend a hand where it's needed, and to approach life with the same earnest zeal that he did.

Services were held in the chapel of Adair Funeral and Cremation Services on Monday, December 18. Burial followed at Deavers cemetery.
