Johnny Ray (J.V.) Vaughn, was born on December 26, 1960, in Hopkinsville, Kentucky. Johnny passed away at Perry County Nursing on November 26, 2023, following a brief illness aged 62.

Johnny grew up inm Hohenwald, where he attended Lewis County Schools. He worked at V&W Ready Mix Concrete Company, at his father's business all of his working life. Johnny continued working with the concrete company until 2010, when complications of his lower back deemed him disabled to work.
