January 2, 1964

Lewis County was crippled by its second large snow of the season, when 10 to 15 inches fell throughout the county.

A single-engine Cessna 150 plane crashed North of Hohenwald during a snowstorm on December 22, 1963. The pilot was treated for minor lacerations and exposure.

Hershel Spears’s home received first place in the annual home lighting contest held by the Lewis County Civic Club.
