Sarah R. Richardson, a beacon of love and creativity, passed away on December 23, 2023, at the age of 91, in Hohenwald. Born on September 18, 1932, to Elvin and Lois Turnbow, Sarah's life was a tapestry of family, work, and community, woven with the threads of her passions and talents.

Sarah was a lifelong resident of Hohenwald, having been raised in the Grinders Creek community. Her journey took her north for a time, but the pull of her hometown brought her back to the familiar landscapes and the people she cherished. The love and memories she created there remained a cornerstone of her life.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother Jim Turnbow and, and her husbands Hillard Brown, Lester Cramer, Malcolm Crowell, and Bill Richardson.

Sarah was the matriarch of a large and loving family, including her children John Nagle, Glenda Harling, Debbie (John) Cooper, Leslie Cramer Lyell (Tim), Cheryl Cramer Greeson (Chuck), and Malcolm Crowell Jr. Her legacy continued through her grandchildren Bob (Jamie) Harling, John Harling, Stephany (Chad) Ashmore, Stephen (Sarah) Lyell, Deidre Greeson, Eli Greeson, Sabrina (Josh) White, Kyle (Crystal) Crowell, and Chelsie Crowell (Lance Iverson), as well as her 17 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense joy and pride. Sarah is also survived by a brother, Sam Turnbow, of Seattle, Washington.

Sarah's professional life was marked by her time at DC Apparel and Siegel, where she was not only a dedicated and valued employee but also the heart of office gatherings. Her colleagues often requested her to cook for office parties and staff events, recognizing her culinary skills that were second to none. Sarah's meals were more than just food; they were an expression of her love and care for those around her.

Her interests were as diverse as they were engaging. Sarah was an excellent cook, known for her ability to create mouthwatering dishes that were as beautiful as they were delicious. She was also skilled with jigsaw puzzles and crocheting, activities that reflected her meticulous nature and artistic eye. Sarah took great pride in her appearance, always dressed 'to the nines' showing the world her flair and grace.

Her home was a haven where warmth and laughter were never in short supply, and her presence was a comforting constant in the lives of her loved ones.

A celebration of Life Memorial service will take place at a later date.
