Fair Board attends convention

January 25, 2024

Don Barber was recognized as one of the longest-sitting members of the Association. Fair blood has been running through his veins for 40 years this year!

This weekend, the South Central Area Fair Board traveled to Murfreesboro, for the annual Tennessee Association of Fairs Convention. A great time was had by all as the group ate great meals, networked with other fairs and board members, ate, attended breakout sessions such as: Digital Ticketing, State Fair Entries, and more, ate, cheered on our Fairest of the Fair winner in the State Competition, escaped not one but two escape rooms, and ate some more.

It was a great time of networking and building organization morale, and we look forward to implementing the new knowledge at the 2024 H&R Hardware and Lumber/ Summertown Metals South Central Area Fair, stated a Fair Board member.

2023 South Central Area Fairst of the Fair Raegan Murphy competed in the State Competition against all the other county winners across the state.
