ORDER ALLOWING SERVICE BY PUBLICATION IN LIEU

OF PERSONAL SERVICE

The Petitioner, Alice Scroggins and Willie Scroggins (“Petitioners”) have filed a motion for an order allowing service of process upon the Respondent, Lowell Russell (“Respondent”), by publication in lieu of personal service. Petitioner has demonstrated by affidavit that respondent Lowell Russell’s whereabouts are unattainable upon reasonable inquiry.

It is therefore ordered that the Clerk of this Court shall:

1. Forthwith cause a copy of this order to be published for four (4) consecutive weeks in the Lewis County Herald, which newspaper is of general circulation in the county of Respondent Lowell Russell’s residence.

2. The copy of this order that is published shall further notify Respondent Lowell Russell that he must answer or otherwise respond to the Petition for Termination of Parental Rights and for Adoption in this action within 30 days of the fourth weekly publication of this Order, and if Respondent Lowell Russell does not answer or otherwise respond, a default judgment may be entered against Respondent, Lowell Russell.

Case number 2024-PR-3 in the matter of the estate of Barry Lynn Larue, Sr., deceased.

Notice is hereby given that on the 5th day of February, 2024, Letters of Administration in respect of the estate of Barry Lynn Larue, Sr., who died on September 2, 2023, were issued to the undersigned by the Chancery Court of Lewis County, Tennessee. All persons, resident and non-resident, having claims, matured or unmatured, against the estate are required to file the same with the clerk of the above-named court on or before the earlier of the dates prescribed in (1) or (2), otherwise their claims will be forever barred.
