2024 congressional art competition

Congressman Andy Ogles (TN-05) announced he is now accepting submissions for the 2024 Congressional Art Competition. Each year, high school students across the country participate in this contest to have their artwork displayed in the nation’s Capitol for the year. One piece is selected for each congressional district. All high school students in Tennessee’s 5th Congressional District are encouraged to participate!

“The Congressional Art Competition is a fantastic competition that encourages young men and women to create beautiful works’ that illuminate the Capitol. Middle Tennessee’s high schoolers boast incredible talent, and I look forward to seeing all their artwork submissions. ” said Congressman Ogles.

Each entry must be original in concept, design, and execution and may not violate U.S. copyright laws. For more information on competition guidelines, please visit ogles.house.gov.


The submission deadline is Wednesday, April 17th, 2024, at 5:00 PM (CT). All entries must be scheduled for drop-off or pick-up with Amy Lewis, who can be reached by email at [email protected]. All teachers are encouraged to make scheduled arrangements 2-5 days before the April 17th deadline. The drop-off location will be Congressman Ogles’ District Office in Columbia, TN.
