Springfest Adds Concerts to Event

Hohenwald Springfest, the annual craft festival to benefit Lewis County Library’s summer reading program will be held at Memorial Park this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. With a wide variety of vendors set up under the large pavilion, there will also be an inflatables kids zone, and food trucks ending with a free concert from the bands Twilight Zone at 5 p.m. and Rode West Band at 7 p.m.

“We’re very excited about what we have added to this year’s event,” says Kelly Medford with the Friends of the Library. “There will be a performance by Lewis County Twirlers, storytime for all ages by the library staff, and at least two cakewalk contests where every players wins a prize!” Each year as hosts for Springfest, Friends of the Library members work to provide an event that is fun for the whole family. “From 70’s pop to classic country, our guest bands will get people out of their seats and dancing!”

Vendors under the pavilion will be open from 9am to at least 6pm and admission and parking is free. Performers and events will all be under the pavilion by the playground across from the vendors. Food trucks will also be selling tasty foods throughout the day. “We hope to see a big turn out and are always happy to offer this annual event for our community,” says Medford. The first 25 visitors to the Friends of the Library booth on Saturday morning will receive a $5 voucher to spend at any craft booth. For more information contact Lewis County Public Library.
