Motorcycle Accident Leaves Local Man Fighting to Walk

Chris Carroll was traveling south on Highway 48, Thursday, May 16, when he lost control of the motorcycle he was driving and left the roadway just north of the Lewis County Landfill. Emergency responders and law enforcement personnel were dispatched. Carroll was transported for treatment of his injuries.

A post from his wife says, "Each day his swelling goes down, his prognosis improves. Everything keeps changing and will continue to change minute by minute so it is hard to keep everyone updated. He is still currently in ICU Trauma Unit and we need his swelling to continue to go down. Recovery for him will be a long process.

Yesterday's post (May 20), from wife, "Chris is still on the trauma floor but out of ICU. He has a bed at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, Georgia as early as Wednesday. They just have to coordinate the transport team and insurance and then we will have a more definitive date as to when we will be there. This is definitely an answered prayer of ours. He has made a lot of improvement but still has a bunch to overcome. Please continue to pray for him and complete healing."
