Production has started to pick up for every trade this week in the New School Build!

There has been substantial progress by the masons in Area B. They are up to 12 feet in the Area B classrooms and up 5 feet throughout the office complex. A few masons have moved over to Area A to begin walls there. We are expecting to receive an additional crew of masons in the next couple of weeks which will even further speed up their progress.

In the southeastern corner of the building pad, some excavated footers were observed to be soft last week. After the remediation recommended by Collier Engineering, that area passed a proof roll this week. This opened up the area to footer excavation and placement. There were three concrete placements this week: columns in the main corridor, the utility trenches in the Chemistry room, and footers in Areas D and E. Footer excavation and placement is now largely complete. Only a few footers in the kitchen area are left.

The plumbers and electricians are now following behind the masons working as they bring up the walls. The plumbers have several rough-ins in Areas A and B complete, and the electricians have begun to pull wire in their conduits.
