Walton "Walt" Kirk Thompson, of Hohenwald, passed away on Thursday, January 9, 2020 at the Lewis County Nursing and Rehab at the age of 77.

He was born in Pleasantville on August 30, 1942 to the late Walter and Mary Lou (Wiggs) Thompson. He married the love of his life, Sandra (Sharp), on December 21, 1963. They previously celebrated 56 years of marriage. Together they share a daughter, Sherri aka Crissy.
