Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
The last few nights have been cooler and even in the thirties a night or two in places, I guess this is blackberry winter since they are blooming. I hope this is the last winter but think there is one more don’t remember what it is called. The days have been relatively nice except for some thunder showers and rain, but rain is necessary for earth to flourish.

Thanks to less rain the softball and baseball teams have been able to play some games and are beginning to catch up on games missed because of rain. This means some games back to back and this makes a busy schedule for young people, coaches and parents alike.
A Gospel meeting will be at the Pineview Church of Christ April 28th through May 1st, Sunday will be church, meal, and church at 1pm, Monday through Wednesday services will be at 7 pm. Kyle Bolton will be the speaker. Come and join us in praising God and learning from the Bible.
The Girl Scouts had a busy weekend with some taking part in the clean up Saturday morning, then a trip to Ambrosia Farm in the afternoon, this was a very interesting trip for children and adults alike and they served popcorn to everyone following the event.
The Lewis County Historical Society will be having a meeting on May 6, 2024, at 6 pm at the Senior Citizen building. Matt Stoll will be presenting a program. I think you will enjoy this and learn about all the things they are doing in the area. Please make plans to attend.
We wish everyone a very great week, blessed with health and happiness. Please take time to remember those who are less fortunate and perhaps confined either at home or nursing homes in the area and take time to call, visit, or send a card and especially pray for them.
