In last week’s County Commission meeting, the scale fees were set at three cents per pound, or $60 per ton.

“This decision had to be made to offset the ever-rising cost to run and maintain our Class 3 Landfill such as the salary of the dozer operator, maintenance of equipment and the eventual needed expansion once the Pit is full,” Mayor Jonah Keltner stated.

The fees and policies will be effective starting October 1, 2020. The policy is as follows:
