Green earns State Championship

Armuchee High School sophomore Shelby Green, middle, was a member of Armuchee Indians Cross Country team.
The girls brought home the school's first-ever State Cross Country Champship title. Green won five races individually this year and set a new school record for the 5K. Shelby was named the Region 6A individual champion and later won the 2020 GHSA A State Champion. Armuchee High School is located in Rome, Georgia.
Green is the daughter of Josh and Jessica Green. She is the great-granddaughter of Gene Medford and Marilyn Baker of Hohenwald.
