Betty Lou Lindsey, age 77, of Summertown, passed away Friday, March 5, 2021, at her residence. She was a native of Lewis County, a homemaker, and a member of Summertown Baptist Church. Her kindness was unparalleled.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Max and Florene Ashmore Darnell; her husband, David R. Lindsey; infant son; and one brother, Jimmy Darnell.

She is survived by two sons, David "Randy" Lindsey (Amy) and Darrell "Rusty" Lindsey (Marti); two daughters, Deanna Renee Doyle (Billy) and Darla Robin France (Donnie); thirteen grandchildren, Savannah, Summer, Sara Beth, Sydney, Courtney, Jordan, Jacob, Logan, Blake, Chase, Kayla, Coleton, and Kennedy; seven great-grandchildren, Tanish, Gabe, Olivia, Lily Ann, Knoxleigh, Avery, and J Robert; one sister, Edith Perry; seven brothers, Carl Darnell, Bobby Darnell, Larry Darnell, Jerry Darnell, Mike Darnell, Tony Darnell, and Ricky Darnell.

Funeral services were conducted at Neal Funeral Home Saturday, March 6, with Howard Kitter officiating. Interment followed at Lindsey Family Cemetery in Summertown.

The family suggests memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Foundation of America.
