William Joseph Birdsall of Hohenwald passed from this life on Thursday, June 17, 2021, at the age of 79. He was born on March 3, 1942, in Lansing, Michigan to Frank Birdsall & Ann Birdsall Lane. He met and married his wife, Margaret, many years ago and together they raised three children.

William was a factory worker for many years. He loved to hunt and to help his children and grandchildren as much as he could. He was as stubborn as he could be, never wanting anyone to worry about him. He will be remembered as a kind and caring man who loved his family above everything.

He is survived by his step-daughters, Tammy (Tim) Ramsey of Hohenwald, Daisy (Terry) Potts of Henryville, and Tammi Patterson of Ft. Wayne, IN; his grandchildren: Samantha Zimmermann, Jason Potts, Amanda Corbin, C.J. Fountain, and Jennifer Dumont; seven great-grandchildren; and one brother-in-law, Billy Belew.

His wife, Margaret Birdsall, his parents, and his stepfather, Joe Lane, preceded him in death.

Graveside services for Mr. Birdsall were held on Sunday, June 20, 2021, in the Wyrick Jones Cemetery on Drake Lane in Lewis County. Terry Potts officiated.

McDonald Funeral Home assisted the family with arrangements.
