Lewis County Board of Education will accept bids on a 96” x 48” x 8” CNC Router and accessories for the Construction and Agriculture Programs. Sealed Bids will be received until 2:00 p.m., CST, September 16, 2021, and will be publicly opened and read aloud at 2:00 p.m. on September 16, 2021, at the Lewis County Board of Education office on South Court Street. Only original bids will be accepted; no facsimile bids or electronic bids will be considered. Bids should be addressed to the Lewis County Board of Education, 206 South Court Street, Hohenwald, TN 38462. All bids must be sealed and clearly marked with the following on the outside of the envelope “CNC ROUTER AND ACCESSORIES BID”. Bids submitted by courier service must be marked on the outside of the envelope as well.

The CNC ROUTER and Accessories must include the following or equivalent:

• 2.2hp-1ph

• Italian precision Air Cooled Spindles, not water cooled.

• Crating, E-Stop, Dust Foot, X & Y proximities, & Z-zeroing for each axis.

• At least 8” of Z travel.

• Low maintenance Rack and Pinion Drive System.

• Stepper Drive Motor with high accuracy control.

• Control System Software that is open source with free control software updates.

• Control System must allow for a future release of an Ethernet & Wi-Fi enabled hardware controller upgrade with onboard micro-computer.

• Vectric Aspire “full version” CAD/CAM design software, clipart, project files, 3D modeling, 3D layers, tool path options, 90+ hours of video tutorials, and 40 seat educational licenses + instructor license.

• Control Laptop configured to CNC Machine.

• Cradle Hose Kit.

• 1.5HP 60Hz Dust Collector with 4” x25’ hose.

• Handheld Keypad with pre-programmed and user programmable features.

• At least a (8 piece) Router Bit Starter Kit.

• Additional Bits: 1/8” SC Straight S/E ‘O’ Bit; 3/16” Double ‘O’ Flute for acrylic, plastic, and wood; Engraving Bit; 1 1/2” & 2” Carbide Tip (90 and 120 degree) bit; 1/4“ Ballnose SC Upcut bit, 3/8” Spiral Ballnose Flute bit, 3/8” Ply Compression Spiral 2 Flute bit, 3/8” 2fl HD Chipbreaker bit, and ER25 3/8” Collet.

• Compatibility with optional accessories such as a 4th axis indexer lathe, joinery jig, digitizing probe, & drag knife cutting.

• Online-Access to Recorded Basic Training Videos as well as additional tutorials and project-01214based videos.

• Free lifetime tech support by either phone or email.

• At least a 3-year CNC tool parts and labor warranty.

Bid will be awarded for the period of September 16, 2021, and ongoing. Bids will be based on what is included with the CNC Router and accessories along with price.
