Dennis E. Whittenberg passed away peacefully on Friday, June 17th, 2022, at the age of 91. Mr. Whittenberg was born on November 14, 1930, in Hohenwald, to Dennis E. and Delphia (Poag) Whittenberg. He was married to Roberta F. (Geralds) Whittenberg until her passing in 2012.

He graduated from Lewis County High School and obtained a B.S. Degree from the University of Southern Mississippi and then his MEd and Eds from MTSU.
