James "Jim" Bartholomew

James "Jim" Bartholomew was born October 11, 1943 in Jackson to the late Oakley and Ola Hamilton Bartholomew.

Mr. Jim proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He was united in marriage to the former Billie Jo Broadway on July 22, 1961. Mrs. Bartholomew preceded him in death December 28, 2021.

He was a member of the Hohenwald Masonic Lodge and a lifetime member of the NRA. He was a co-founder of Allied Heating and Cooling, owned Hohenwald Dry Cleaners and most recently owned Big Tree Realty. Mr. Jim will be remembered as someone who lived life to the fullest. He enjoyed photography, woodworking, guns, the banjo, beer making and flea markets. He was a dog lover, and many will remember him for the Scottish Terriers he bred. Mr. Bartholomew passed away on Saturday October 1, 2022, just ten days short of his 79th birthday.

Mr. Jim is survived by his daughters, Jami Spears and Helen Ozier; grandchildren, Drew Ozier and wife Katelyn, Chance Fielder and wife Khrysten and Eli Ozier; great-grandchildren, J.J. Wright, Conner Wright and Lyla James Ozier. He is also survived by his niece, Joyce Webb and nephew, Don Baker.

In addition to his parents and wife of 60 years, Billie Jo Bartholomew, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Jessica Naomi Wright; a sister, Joella Hensley; and a nephew, Johnny Stubblefield.

Visitation with the family was held on Wednesday, October 5, 2022 at Adair Funeral and Cremation Services. Funeral Services followed with Chance Fielder officiating.
