When I reached out to Ashley, to let her know she was nominated for person of the week, she was so excited. A special quote from Miss Ashley is "always wake up with a purpose." Just having good ole hometown conversation with her made my day!

Q.) Where did you grow up? A.) Right here in good ole Hohenwald, Tennessee.

Q.) What is one of your fondest childhood memories?

A.) Playing outside, playing in the creek catching crawlfish and huling hay.

Q.) What did you want to be as a kid? What did you actually become?

A.) I wanted to be a Veterinarian and I am a Nurse Practitioner.

Q.) Who was/is your biggest role model?

A.) My grandmother, my mom's mother, Barbara Taylor. She was something special.

Q.) What are some of your favorite hobbies/how do you like to spend your free time?

A.) I would love to go back to Peru, Amazon jungle. I went with medical ministry and let me tell you, it is so hot there but so worth it.

Q.) What is your favorite song?

A.) Rescue by Lauren Daigle.

Q.) What is one of your favorite things about living in Hohenwald?

A.) The small town feel. The people, our community has each others' back and everybody dies famous in a small town.

Q.) Is there any life advice you could give to our readers?

A.) I have a few!!

You seriously have no idea what people are dealing with in their personal life, so just be kind it's that simple.

Loaning someone your strength instead of reminding them of their weakness.

Q.) Is there anything you would like to add that my questions may not have touched on?

A.) Yes, for you all to be watching for the opening of my own clinic here in the near future, called First Priority Health. I love what I do - it's not just a job. I love taking care of my family and friends here in our community, it's my calling.
