Kayleen McCabe visits Lewis County Schools

To highlight CTE (Career Technical Education) month Kayleen McCabe, former TV host on Trading Spaces and DIY Network's Rescue Renovations, visited Lewis County Schools on February 6 and 7, 2023.

She had a captive audience speaking to students on her career and how she got to where she is today, career options, challenging yourself to find your passion, what it takes to be successful, TCAT opportunities, how different careers/trades align to more than one career/trade, and so much more. Kayleen also read to the younger students and donated a book, The House She Built, to the LCES library.

During the few days in Lewis County, she fell in love with Hohenwald, traveled around scenic views, visited the Natchez Trace, made friendships, and enjoyed sweet tea and a chocolate malt. Lewis County Schools look forward to having Kayleen come again.
