Pantherettes hold reunion

The Lewis County High

School 1970 Pantherettes met

April 22 at Casa Grande Restaurant

for dinner, sharing stories

and laughter.

Scrapbooks with pictures

and newspaper clippings for every

game from 1968 to 1970 were

enjoyed. The table was adorned

with a “special copper basketball

player statue” in memory

of their beloved coach Eugene

Grinder.

After dinner, we adjourned

for a trip across town to “OUR

GYM” which today is the Middle

School Gym, where we met Mr.

Billy Lynch, our former teacher

and the PA game announcer.

We were thrilled to see the gym

again, tour the hall, and see the

senior class portrait. We all

agreed, the biggest thrill was to

see the cafeteria chairs and tables

were the same ones we had

used. Then it was time to part,

but not before we made plans to

meet again next year, stated an

attendee.

L- R Holly Overby Cooper of Colorado, Kay Lynch Murphy of Hohenwald, Sherry Quillen of Hohenwald,
