Lewis County Government employees were recently treated to a pancake breakfast to celebrate the end of a successful fiscal budget year. The meal was prepared by members of the County Maintenance Department.
According to current numbers, the county is projected to have fund balance increases in both the General Fund and Solid Waste accounts when the fiscal year ends on June 30.
“This growth is due to the conservative budget set by our County Commission, and the fiscal responsibility of our elected officials, department heads and county employees,” stated Mayor Jonah Keltner. “I’m very proud of our county employees for being such good stewards of our tax dollars, and commend them on another job well done”.
