Animalogoy Visits Lewis County Library

The Lewis County Public Library and Archives enjoyed a visit from Bob Tarter with Animalogy. Mr. Bob brought several different animals that work with their environment to help everything work together. He brought a King Snake, a MegaBat, a Gila Monster, an albino constrictor, and an Owl. Each animal brings a unique balance to their part of their environment and Mr. Bob answered questions about herbivores, carnivores, and herbivores. The oohs and ahhs were heard around as each animal was brought out, and the children's eyes grew wide as they learned about the differences between venomous and poisonous.

This event was the last of the regular events of the "All Together Now: Lewis County United" Summer Reading Program, and was sponsored in part by Danny and Dollie McKnight. Our next family activity will be our Sunday Sundown Cinema on July 30th, in the gravel parking lot behind the library. Concessions open at 7:30, the movie will start when the sun sets and bring your own seating.
