Margie Marie McCune, a spirited and passionate woman, passed away peacefully on July 11, 2023, in Dickson, Tennessee. Born on January 30, 1949, in Tutwiler, Mississippi, she was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend. Margie was a woman of incredible strength, both physically and emotionally, and she lived her life with a fiery passion that was contagious to all who knew her.

Margie was the cherished daughter of the late Eddie and Eunice Denley McKee. She was the beloved sister of Arthur Daniel McKee (Barbara), Thomas Earl McKee (Elba), Glinda Louise Coats (Larry), Patricia Gail Hamilton, and John Douglas McKee. Margie was a devoted mother to her two children, Darlene Qualls and Brian (Beth) McCune, and a doting grandmother to her six grandchildren, Stephanie Renee Garza, Margie Elizabeth Peek, Steven Joseph Garza, Mary Elizabeth Selby, Sydney Ryan McCune, and Wyatt Trisden Wallace. She was also blessed with nine great-grandchildren and several bonus grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Margie was a beloved aunt to several nieces and nephews, who will remember her fondly.

Margie had a long and successful career as a truck driver, working for several companies, including driving for her son. Her work ethic was unparalleled, and she was known for her dedication and reliability. Her colleagues admired her for her professionalism and her vibrant personality that made long drives and late nights m≠≠ore enjoyable.

Margie's interests were as varied as they were numerous. She had a deep love for music and was an accomplished guitar player. She even played in a band, sharing her love for music with audiences of all ages. Margie was also an avid athlete. She enjoyed playing softball, basketball, and bowling. Her passion for physical fitness extended to weightlifting, where she achieved national recognition, ranking first in the nation for bench press in her age division for two years in a row.

Margie's love for life extended beyond her hobbies and career. She had a special place in her heart for four-legged fur babies, always ensuring they were cared for and loved. Her home was filled with beautiful flowers and plants, a testament to her nurturing spirit.

She lived her life with a fire in her heart, a song on her lips, and a weight in her hands. Her passion was contagious, inspiring those around her to live their lives to the fullest. Her spirit was indomitable, refusing to let any obstacle stand in her way. But most of all, she was loving. Margie loved her family deeply, and she extended that love to everyone she met.
