John Mayfield, Sr.

John Will Mayfield, Sr., born July 6, 1953, in Lewis County to the late Carl P. Mayfield and Mary Elizabeth (Walker) Mayfield, passed away on July 19, 2023, at the age of 70.

John was a graduate of Lewis County High School, Class of 1971, and a graduate of Columbia State with an engineering degree. He was an avid motorcycle rider since the age of 16 and loved to just get on and ride. He was known by his friends as Doc, and by his grandkids as Poppa John.
