Serving Hohenwald, Lewis County Tennessee Since 1898
Well it is a nice morning here in our little valley. We are getting a little shower of rain and I hear thunder, but I do not think we are supposed to have any storms. On mornings like this I sure like sitting here on the porch swing.
The cats do not like thunder, they quickly ate their breakfast and now have gone to their safe places until the rain stops. The cats sure liked that cooler weather that we had recently, on those few nights when it was really cool I put a little blanket over them so they would be warm, no they are not spoiled and if they are then Bob must have did it.
Fall is in the air and it is beginning to look more like Fall, the trees are starting to change and I like seeing all the orange and yellow flowers that seem to be blooming everywhere along the roadways.
It is raining a little hard here now and we sure do need this rain, the creek is dry with no water in it anywhere. Bob keeps fresh water out for the cats and Bobby keeps the hummingbird feeders filled for the hummingbirds, they are still here and I thought that they normally leave around the last of August, but they will leave soon because cold weather and Winter is not far away. We are getting ready for a cold Winter ourselves, I have got to thank some of our local guys around here for bringing us a load of wood, bless you guys.
There seems to be a lot of trouble everywhere you look and not just with the high cost of living, now there are several threats of strikes and there are lots of train wreaks and lots of fires at manufacturing plants. Seems everyday we hear of some more bad news, and what is going on with the price of gas it is up one day and then down the next day and then back up the next day.
Has this world gone crazy? Now some kids are not even safe to get on the school bus and go to school to learn. Most every school can not find enough bus drivers and teachers. Where are all the Men and Women that we used to depend on to take care of our families?
We sure are living in perilous times and the Bible tells us that before the end there will be great troubles and we sure are seeing them. With all these things happening I find myself praying more than ever and I trust in Him.
I am not going to worry about tomorrow and I am going to take one day at a time because God still has it all under control and He is the light at the end of the tunnel.
God bless.
