David Lee Scarberry passed away on October 15, 2023, in Columbia, TN. He was born on February 11, 1958, in Carrollton, MS to the late Robert and Willie Mae (Bailey) Scarberry.

David was a hardworking man; he made a career as an equipment operator at a rock quarry. He was a superior bulldozer operator and loved what he did.

David had a deep love for the outdoors and enjoyed spending his free time camping and eagle-watching. He was a true outdoorsman and found peace in the great outdoors.

He loved to grill and cook for his family and friends. His family meant the most to him. He was a loving man who would give anything for his family.

David was an outgoing individual, always ready with a smile and a kind word. David was an all-around good man, respected and loved by all who knew him.

In addition to his parents, Robert and Willie Mae Scarberry, he was preceded in death by his brother, Kenny Scarberry.

He leaves behind to cherish his memory, his loving wife, Darla Deavers Scarberry; his children, Josh (Amy) Scarberry, Adam (Tiffany) Scarberry, Bryan Scarberry, and Angie (James) Morris; his siblings, Robert Scarberry, Alan Scarberry, Richard Scarberry, Lesie Tuberville, and Janice Azbell; four granddaughters, four grandsons, and one great-granddaughter; as well as his beloved dog, Daisy.

Visitation with the Scarberry family was held on Wednesday, October 18, 2023, at McDonald Funeral Home. Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, October 19, 2023, in the chapel of McDonald Funeral Home with Steve Holloway officiating. Burial services will follow in Grinders Creek Cemetery.
