Deputy Hit N Run Results in Arrest

On the night of June 24th, Deputy Christian Pelkey ran the tag on a black Camaro, of which dispatch advised was out of date. Pelkey made the stop, and the driver, Steven Brandon Bates, handed him his license as requested. During the traffic stop at the intersection of Victor Cabbage and Buffalo Road, Pelkey detected the smell of marijuana coming from the vehicle and asked Bates to step out.
