Dr. Mark Wayne Sigler

Dr. Mark Wayne Sigler, passed away on December 23, 2023, in Hohenwald, at the age of 72. He was born on May 14, 1951, in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Harold Morgan Sigler and Betty Jo Easley Sigler.

A proud graduate of Bellevue High School, Mark's pursuit of knowledge led him to further his education at Middle Tennessee State University and the University of Tennessee at Nashville, where he earned his degree in psychology. He worked tirelessly as a psychologist in the Lewis County School System, in prisons, and through his private practice. Mark was instrumental at Buffalo Valley, where he provided support and guidance from the day they opened their doors.

Dr. Sigler was involved in many aspects of Hohenwald and Lewis County. He was a longtime Mason and Shriner. He had a love for music that was only surpassed by his love for his family. He had a big heart, which he generously shared with all who knew him.

He is survived by his loving wife, Sherry Johnson Sigler; children, Aaron Sigler and Lori Sigler; sisters, Christy Phipps and Nancy Cook; grandchildren, Ashley Alvarado, Keaston Sigler, Nicholas Kohl, Korbin Sigler, Brett Kohl, and Kendra Sigler Melchor; great-grandchildren, Sophia Alvarado and Nicholas Kohl, Jr.

There are currently no services scheduled for Dr. Sigler.
