This past week we have had a lot of rain, mostly as scattered showers but with some thundershowers included and heavy rain. The creeks have even been up but not out of the banks at least not in this area. The temperatures have been moderate for this time of year with daytime being in the upper fifties and up to mid sixties and nights in the forties and fifties.

Wishing for all these a very happy birthday and many more years to celebrate life.

Several groups had Valentines parties the past weekend and sure there will be some at schools and other places this week. Several enjoyed the party after services at Pineview annex on Sunday night, there was a cakewalk and food for all and everyone had a great time and I am sure there were some on sugar highs from all the chocolate candy offered for prizes during the cakewalk.

Prayers for all those who have lost loved ones this past week. These are the ones I know about Kenneth Arnold Victory, William “Billy” Barker, Patricia Faye Blair, Martha Burleson, Dorin Faye Barrett, Wilma Jeannette Elkins, Edward Glen Williams, Johnny (Johnie) Crease, Herbert Ray England, Georg Marshall Brown, Macella Rae Shroyer, Robert “Bobby” David Mayberry, Sandra Joyce Runions, and Tommy Eugene Moon. Prayers for these families and any others about which I may not know.

The weather is supposed to move back to winter like temperatures and even some snow, but they say no accumulation. I hope they are right. The buttercups are blooming so pretty, and this should be a sign of spring. So hope the weather will be mild and not so frigid. Hope you and yours have a wonderful week and enjoy being with family and friends. May everyone have a great week.
